Christoph Hamann, born in 1975, studied music at the HfM Hanns Eisler in Berlin. He works in Berlin as a freelance composer, musician and performer. He composes and interprets music primarily for the performative space, including at the TJG Dresden, Schauspiel Köln, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Staatsschauspiel Dresden and several times at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. He also travels internationally with independent theatre groups, especially in experimental puppet theatre and performance. He is also a member of the band Apparat and the artist collective The String Theory (both projects nominated for a Grammy in 2020), accompanies well-known artists on tour (including Jose Gonzales, ANDRRA) and appears as a producer of children's music, film and television music as well as a studio musician.
