Polina Lapkovskaja, born 1982 in Minsk, worked in 2008 for the project Illegal for the first time as a theatre musician. Since then she has worked as a freelance singer, composer and performance artist. In 2010 she realized the project Pollyester Parking Lot with her band Pollyester at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 2014 she created the stage music for Stephan Kimmig's staging of Stories from the Viennese forest of Ödön von Horváth at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 2015 she, again with Stephan Kimmig, was engaged by the Salzburg Festival to create the music for Goethe's Clavigo, a co-production with the Deutsches Theater Berlin. In 2013 she received the Music Award of the City of Munich. During the 2019/2020 season she will be involved as a musician and composer in the productions Dying Together and After Work at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
