Annika Meier, born 1981 in Berlin, studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Rostock. Her first engagement took her to the Lucerne Theatre. In 2008 Annika Meier moved to the Theater Oberhausen with artistic director Peter Carp. There she worked together with Herbert Fritsch for the first time. This was followed by work at Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin, Schauspielhaus Dortmund, Thalia Theater Hamburg, Zurich Opera and the founding of the HappyEndCompany collective. From 2012, several works with Herbert Fritsch were created at the Volksbühne Berlin, such as Murmel Murmel, Ohne Titel Nr. 1, der die man und Pfusch, all of which were invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen. In addition to her work at the theatre, she is regularly seen in television and film productions such as Der Tatortreiniger. She can be seen at the Schauspielhaus Bochum in the 2018/19 season in Murmel Murmel by Herbert Fritsch.
