Jonas Johnke, born in 1983, initially trained as a carpenter from 2001 to 2003. He then studied fine art/sculpture from 2013 to 2018 and was a master student of Prof. Marko Lehanka in Nuremberg. Since 2018 he has been working as a freelance stage designer and artist. His work has been shown at the Kunsttage Detmold 2015, the Galerie am Graben Augsburg, the Goethe Institute Madrid and Badstraße 8 in Fürth. In 2017 he was a finalist in the Ferchau Art of Engineering competition. In the same year he received a scholarship from the Bavarian Ministry for Science and Art.
