Zita Gustav Wende came to the cities of Vienna and Berlin through her studies in theater, film and media studies. A first project in Vienna (Kasimir und Karoline at Club aparat/STUTHE) was followed by directing internships with René Pollesch and Johann Kresnik at the Volksbühne Berlin and experience in organizing and guest directing at the film and debate series Woche der Kritik. In 2016, she began studying directing at the ADK Baden-Württemberg. There she created, among others, the works: Gebärneid, Fräulein Else and Titus Andronicus. The production Fräulein Else was invited to UWE - Der Festival 2019 in Munich. Zita Gustav Wende is a co-founder of the collective ODAS in Stuttgart. She graduated in October 2019 with the productions Die Marquise von O... at Schauspiel Stuttgart and Medea bin ich Jetzt. after Medea.Stimmen by Christa Wolf. Since the 2020/2021 season, she has been working as an assistant director at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
