Gitta Büchner, born in 1953 in so-called simple circumstances, studied law (dropped out), social sciences (completed) and linguistics. She began writing literature as a child. Since the 1970s she has been active in the women's and lesbian movement, co-founder of the Lesbian Center Bochum, co-founder of the radical feminist lesbian magazine IHRSINN. Publisher, editor, accountant, writer of (largely humorless) articles and (largely humoristic) glosses. She was a staff member at the women's bookstore Amazonas in Bochum until its closure and teaches German as a foreign language.
