Marie Caroline Rössle, born in Munich in 1975, studied stage and costume design at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee after completing her apprenticeship as a tailor at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin. She then worked as an assistant for Bert Neumann and Jonathan Meese, among others. Since 2007 she has worked as a freelance stage and costume designer at the German National Theatre in Weimar, the Sophiensälen, the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, the Residenztheater, the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Theater Basel. She has had a close and continuous collaboration with Nora Schlocker for some time.
