Suzan Boogaerdt, born in 1974, completed the preparatory theatre training at the Utrecht University of the Arts and then, from 1996 to 2000, the pantomime training at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. In 2001 Suzan Boogaerdt founded her own company Boogaerdt/VanderSchoot together with Bianca van der Schoot. Boogaerdt/VanderSchoot (BVDS) make expressive, physical and highly visual theatre installations that revolve around the struggles and challenges people face in today's media-driven world.
