Anna Marienfeld, born and raised in Dortmund, Germany, studied Applied Literary and Cultural Studies in Dortmund and Istanbul and acting in Hamburg. During her studies, she worked for three years as a tutor at the Institute for German Language and Literature. In 2010 and 2011 she was part of the organisational management of Shorts Attack - Das Kurzfilmfestival. From 2015 - 2019 she was responsible for press and public relations at the Theater im Depot Dortmund and in 2016 she was the artistic and organisational director of the Petra Meurer Theatre Days. In 2012 she founded the theatre collective Sir Gabriel Trafique together with Björn Gabriel and since 2014 she has been working as a freelance artist at municipal theatres and in the independent theatre scene in the fields of acting, stage and costume, dramaturgy and video art.
