Anaïs-Manon Mazić, born in Vienna in 1998, studied neuroscience on a scholarship at Wagner College in New York and completed her studies at the University of Cologne. She gained her first theatre experience at Dschungel Wien and Schauspielhaus Wien. Parallel to her studies, she worked at the Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience at the Jülich Research Centre and was a trainee actress and director at Schauspiel Köln. Between 2016 and 2023, she also worked on theatre productions in Austria, Denmark, Norway and the United States.
Anaïs-Manon Mazić is interested in the interface between art and science and seeks neuroscientific perspectives on the theatre pieces she works on or develops. Her plays contain performative and choreographic elements and are created in interdisciplinary collaboration with actors, scientists, performers, musicians, dancers and visual artists. She sees her productions and performances as experiments and the stage as a research laboratory.
In September 2024, she will complete her directing studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts with the production Alice im Wunderland oder Wie Alice in ihren Kopf fiel.
