Meret König (all pronouns) grew up in Berlin and Zurich. König works as a freelance actor, mover and author. König studied Physical Theatre at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen from 2020-2024. During his studies, König worked as a guest at Schauspiel Dortmund and produced physical theatre plays in various constellations.
Most recently, König was seen at the Consol Theatre Gelsenkirchen in the play development Liebe. König's works have been shown at the Maschinenhaus Essen, the Folkwang Museum and as part of the ZeitZeug Festival in Bochum, among others. Meret König's final project Ungirling, funded by the Chancengerechte Hochschule fund, was invited to the Full Spin Physical Theatre 2024 festival. Meret König has been part of the Sticky Fragments Physical Theatre Company together with Charlie Wyrsch and Valentin Schwerdfeger since 2022.
