Justyna Stasiowska, born 1987 in Silesia (Poland), completed her M.A. degree in Drama and Theater Studies. She works as a theorist, translator, dj and sound artist and is a PhD student at the Performance Studies Department at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, preparing her dissertation Noise. Performativity of Sound Perception. She edits and publishes as an author in journals of theatre and contemporary music as well as in academic publications. As a sound designer she worked with choreographers such as Magda Ptasznik, Ania Nowak and with visual artist Marta Sala. She recently released a split cassette on the Nawia Records label for experimental music. At Schauspielhaus Bochum she creates the sound design of the production 2069 – Das Ende der Anderen in the 2018/19 season.
