Tanja Maderner, born in Vienna (Austria) in 1992, graduated from the Fashion School Hetzendorf with a diploma in fashion design and the journeyman's examination in tailoring with distinction in 2011. During her studies of art history, she already took part in various film and theatre productions. From 2017 she worked as a costume design assistant at the Wiener Burgtheater, among others in Johan Simon's production Radetzkymarsch, in the production Der Besuch der alten Dame directed by Frank Hoffmann, as well as in productions at the Wiener Akademie and Volkstheater. Since 2018 she has been working as a costume assistant at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and has been involved in productions such as Séance de travail by Trajal Harrell and Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald by Karin Henkel. She also designs the costumes for some Banden of the Junges Schauspielhaus. In the 2019/20 season she will design the costumes for Florian Fischer's production Geister and Thomas Dannemann's production Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika gegen Herbert Nolan at the Schauspielhaus Bochum in the Zeche Eins.
