Hannah Biedermann was born in 1982, first studied acting in Cologne, then Szenische Künste at the University of Hildesheim. Since graduating in 2010, she has been working as a director, performer and theatre teacher in the broad field of children's and youth theatre. She has directed at theatres such as the KinderTheaterHaus Hannover, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Theater Ingolstadt or GRIPS Theater Berlin. In 2007 she founded the theatre group pulk fiktion, with which she can pursue her interest and her search for trans-genre and interdisciplinary forms beyond classical narratives for young audiences. She advocates children's right to their very own art, but always strives for a contemporary form and complex social themes. Her productions have won numerous awards, for example at the Heidelberger Stückemarkt, at Westwind Festival, Children and Youth Theatre Prize of Cologne and the George Tabori Förderpreis 2016, Hannah Biedermann received the Förderpreis für junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler des Landes NRW 2016 and was awarded the Deutscher Theaterpreis Faust for the best direction in children and youth theatre in 2017. Alle Jahre wieder in the 2018/2019 season is her first production at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
