Leon Rüttinger, born 1996 in Bamberg, studies acting at the Folkwang University of Arts in Bochum since 2017. and grew up in Freiburg, where he performed in various productions at the Theater Freiburg, here he collaborated among others with Frank Hilbrich (Die Csárdásfürstin), Sascha Flocken (Tschick), Robert Schuster (Der Diener zweier Herren), Christoph Frick (Ein Volksfeind), as well as Gary Joplin and Emma Jordan (The Addams Family). He performs in Kunst and Maria Stuart at the Rottstr5 Theater. Guest performances lead him to the Pina-Bausch-Theater, Wuppertaler Bühnen, Studiobühne Köln and Jerusalem, Bottrop and Tel Aviv. In 2019 he became a scholar at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung. In the season 2019/2020 he can be seen in Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika gegen Herbert Nolan (Director: Thomas Dannemann) at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
