Jeroen Versteele, born in 1980 in Louvain, Belgium, is a dramaturge working at the Burgtheater in Vienna. He worked as a culture journalist for the belgian newspaper De Morgen, and as a theatre dramaturge at NTGhent (2005-2010), Münchner Kammerspiele (2010-2015), the Ruhrtriennale (2015-2017) and Berliner Festspiele (until the end of 2021). He collaborated with directors and choreographers such as Johan Simons, Meg Stuart, Kristian Smeds, Susanne Kennedy, Luk Perceval, Tian Gebing, Martin Kušej and the actor's collective Wunderbaum. In the season 2018/2019 he wrote the stage version and was the dramaturge for Hamlet, and he wrote the stage adaption for Submission, both directed by Johan Simons.
