Miroslava Svolikova, born 1986 in Vienna, studied philosophy in Vienna and Paris, fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and scenic writing at the Drama Forum of uniT Graz.
2015 winner of the Retzhofer Drama Prize for die hockenden, premiered by Burgtheater Vienna. With the design for Diese Mauer fasst sich selbst zusammen und der Stern hat gesprochen she won the Hans Gratzer Scholarship 2016 of the Wiener Schauspielhaus and the associated commission. 2017 Hermann-Sudermann Prize at the Autorentheatertage Berlin, where both plays were invited as guest performances. Nestroy nomination as best female newcomer in the same year. In 2018 europa flieht nach europa opens as one of three productions the Autorentheatertage at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in a production of Burgtheater Vienna. Author Prize of the Austrian Theateral Alliance for Der Sprecher und die Souffleuse in the same year.
Svolikova writes dramas and texts, makes music, lives and works in Vienna and runs the art project YYY!
