Anne Ratte-Polle, born 1974 in Cloppenburg, studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock. Her first engagement took her to the Staatstheater Cottbus from 1999 to 2002. During her permanent engagement in Cottbus in 2002, she gave guest performances at the Volksbühne Berlin and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. In 2002 she went to Schauspiel Hannover, where she worked with Neil LaBute, Andreas Kriegenburg, Igor Bauersima, Sebastian Nübling, Christina Paulhofer and René Pollesch. She performed at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Maxim-Gorki-Theater and the Volksbühne Berlin, where she worked with directors such as René Pollesch, Frank Castorf, Dimiter Gotscheff, Werner Schroeter and Herbert Fritsch. In addition to her theatre work, she works for cinema and television. She is a member of the German Film Academy. At Schauspielhaus Bochum she can be seen in the 2018/19 season in Murmel Murmel by Herbert Fritsch.
