Oliver Kroll, born in Bochum in 1962, trained as a truck mechanic and car body builder from 1978 to 1981. In 1986, he began working as a stage technician under the directorship of Claus Peymann at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. In 1991 to 1992 he successfully passed the examination for stage and lighting master. He then worked first as stage manager, then as technical director, and from 2003 to 2007 as technical director at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. Since the 2007 season, he has been in charge of the workshops here as workshop manager and production manager. In 2019, together with Johan Simons, he designed the stage set for the production Ein Fest für Mackie.
