Sorcha Gibson, born in Canada, studied Theatre Performance Design at the Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto and Stage Design at the DAMU Art Academy, located in the Czech Republic. Recently, her work has explored large-scale devised and immersive experiences, the tangibility of designed materials, and how audiences engage with these designed, often tactile components and environments. Her most recent collaborators where with the director Eva Rosemarijn in the production Go Away – see if I’m there (2018) and the director Bria de la Mare on the performance Shop POPAGANDA (2018). These performances and others have premiered in Prague, Oslo, Paris and Toronto.
