Damian Rebgetz, born 1978 in Darwin (Australia), studied music at the Queensland Conservatorium and music theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He also completed an MA Sound Studies at the Berlin University of the Arts, where he was awarded an Elsa Neumann Scholarship. After his studies, he worked in the independent scene for a few years before becoming part of the ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele from 2015 to 2020. As an actor and performer, he has worked with Gob Squad, Susanne Kennedy, Ligia Lewis, Philippe Quesne, Anna Sophie Mahler, Christopher Rüping, Ruedi Häusermann, Dominic Huber, Ersan Montag, Toshiki Okada, René Pollesch, Yael Ronan, Trajal Harrell and Keren Cytter, among others. His own performances are inspired by experimental forms of music theatre.
