Amos Ben-Tal (born 1979 in Israel) is a musician, choreographer and artistic leader of the artist- collective OFFprojects. After studying classical guitar in his youth, Amos completed his dance training in 1997 at The National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada. He then moved to the Netherlands where he danced at Nederlands Dans Theater for nine years. It is also at NDT where he developed his passion for choreography, making his debut in 2005 with the piece Track for NDT1 in which he also composed the music and wrote the text. In 2006 Amos left NDT to dedicate himself to developing his own creations. Alongside his choreography work Amos started the rock band Noblesse, with which he played extensively in the club circuit of the Netherlands as well as abroad. 

In 2012 Amos founded OFFprojects, an interdisciplinary collective of former dancers of NDT and Batsheva Ensemble. With his group he created several well-received performances among which 60, Howl (winner Dioraphte Dance Prize), Interval and PART. OFFprojects has collaborated with artists from many disciplines, including Spinvis, Gosse de Kort, Ragazze Quartet, Salvador Breed and 4DSOUND. 

As a composer he has collaborated with such choreographers as Johan Inger, Vaclav Kunes and Edan Gorlicki and with various musicians including Ry-X. In recent years he has developed a particularly strong collaboration with Imre & Marne van Opstal, composing music for most of their choreographies to date.
