Eva Veronica Born studied architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and has been working as a freelance scenographer and architect since 2012. In the field of tension between urban space, stage design and architecture, she develops objects, spaces, processes and artistic interventions for various theatres and festivals, including the Volksbühne Berlin, Münchner Kammerspiele, Wiener Festwochen, Berliner Festspiele, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Ruhrtriennale, Theater der Welt, Oper Basel, Berliner Ensemble etc.

From 2015 - 2022 she was part of the Theatertreffen team as a scenographer and designed the annual festival campus and the official awards for the Theatertreffen at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele.

Since 2022 she has been teaching in the Stage Design - Scenic Space programme at the TU Berlin.

She was already invited to the Theatertreffen as a stage designer with director Johan Simons in 2012 and 2013; the production Eines langen Tages Reise in die Nacht continues their collaboration at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
