Elisa Kühnl from Cologne is a performance and sound artist. Intimacy, trust and taboos in social structures are the basis for her work. In 2021 she founded the collective Γλωσσα (Glossa), whose members explore the voice as a choreographer.

She is one of the authors of the fanzine Grapefruits, and regularly performs live with Jiyun Park as Krap Huek, the group Nasssau, as well as solo with the instrument voice.

Together with choreographer and performer Myriam von Imschoot, she is searching for systems of exchange, participation and support in the realm of collectives that work with the voice as an instrument.

Her pseudonym τζιτζίκι, on the other hand, is primarily concerned with the handling and use of glass objects. She studied culture, aesthetics and media at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf under Swantje Lichtenstein and graduated with a music-ethnological thesis on Greek rebetiko. At the

Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf, she completed the course Sound and Reality (specialising in epistemic media), graduating under Julian Rohrhuber and Waltraud Blischke with a thesis on Γλωσσα – The Voice as an Instrument of Given Circumstances.
