Moritz Hannemann studied theatre and literary studies, was a teaching and research assistant at the Institute of Theatre Studies at Ruhr University Bochum and worked as a dramaturge at FFT Düsseldorf from 2020-2023. He participated in FFT's urban policy projects, including the international urban laboratory Place Internationale, which combined FFT's move to its new venue with the 150th anniversary of the Paris Commune, and Re-Imagining Public Life in cooperation with Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. He was also a member of the advisory board of the Favoriten Festival 2018 and 2020 under the artistic direction of Fanti Baum and Olivia Ebert. Since the 2024/25 season, he is a dramaturge at Schauspielhaus Bochum.

Furthermore, he worked on various publications, including: Baustelle commune.
