Leonie Ute Maria Adam performed in the young dt Berlin at Fluchtpunkt Berlin in 2013 and was involved in theatre education at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin in the 2012/2013 season. Among other things, she realised projects with students at the Rütli Campus Neukölln. She then studied theatre pedagogy in Lingen a.d. Ems and dramaturgy at the HfS Ernst Busch Berlin as a Master. As a freelance mediator and dramaturge, she regularly worked at the interfaces of left-wing political and transdisciplinary contexts with citizens and non-professional players.
In 2021/2022 she was a dramaturge at the Theater Bremen and worked with Gintersdorfer/Klaßen, Caroline Kapp and Pınar Karabulut, among others. In 2022, she took over the mediation of the FAVORITEN Dortmund festival and the curation of the supporting programme. During her NRW scholarship for young talent, she researched B. Brecht's play theory and intersectional Marxism with young people. She has supervised national and international performance and dance productions as well as interventions in public space. She is a lecturer at the Folkwang University. As a freelance dramaturge and moderator, she deals with transgenerational trauma, the deconstruction of the post-fascist present and feminist-Marxist criticism of capitalism as well as civic participation. She has written columns on asymmetries of power in theatre for publications including Nachtkritik/Hans-Böll-Stiftung and Volksbühne. She has been a dramaturge at Schauspielhaus Bochum since 2023.
