
Dominik Dos-Reis, born in 1993 in Lower Austria and raised in Austria and France, studied philosophy and theatre, film and media studies at the University of Vienna. From 2015 to 2019 he trained in acting at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). During his studies he won the Fidelio Competition in the “Fidelio.creation” category and performed at Dschungel Wien. In 2017 he appeared at the Burgtheater Vienna in Radetzkymarsch (directed by Johan Simons). He has been a member of the Schauspielhaus Bochum ensemble since the 2018/19 season. In 2023 he received the Alfred Kerr Acting Award at the Berliner Festspiele’s Theatertreffen; in the same year he was named “Young Actor of the Year” by Theater heute and received the Bochum Theatre Award (“Young Talent”).
In 2024 he made his Salzburg Festival debut as “Death” in Robert Carsen’s Jedermann and returned with the same the role in 2025.
