The Egyptian singer Oum Kalthoum is still considered one of the most influential musicians of the Arab world of the 20th century. With her improvisations she put her audience in a mixture of ecstasy and trance. DIVA - Celebrating Oum Kalthoum is an ode to the legacy of the legendary singer. Director Ariel Efraim Ashbel celebrates Oum Kalthoum in a performance concert with the international Wedding Orchestra for Middle Eastern Music. The orchestra brings together musicians from different cultural backgrounds from all over the world. Together with opera singer and performer Ruth Rosenfeld, Ashbel and the orchestra interpret a selection of Kalthoum's pieces, creating a transcultural concert evening as unorthodox as it is touching.

تعتبر المطربة المصرية أم كلثوم حتى اليوم واحدةً من أكثر الموسيقيين تأثيرًا في العالم العربي في القرن العشرين. DIVA - الاحتفال بأم كلثوم هي مقطوعة لتراث المطربة المصرية الأسطورية. يحتفل المخرج آريل إفرايم أشبل بأم كلثوم في حفل موسيقي مع أوركسترا  NRWedding للموسيقى الشرق أوسطية. تضم الأوركسترا موسيقيين لديهم خلفيات ثقافية مختلفة من جميع أنحاء العالم. بالاشتراك مع مغنية الأوبرا والمؤدية روث روزنفيلد يقدم أشبل والأوركسترا مجموعة مختارة من مقطوعات أم كلثوم، فيبدعون بذلك أمسية موسيقية مثيرة متعددة الثقافات.
