Text
For Orbis Lumen, the artist Michael Saup builds a world map from more than 40,000 pieces of sugar cubes that does not appear Eurocentristically distorted like our current maps. He projects the nuclear weapon tests since 1945 and their effects on the atmosphere onto this new world view. Saup defines the Anthropocene as the age of nuclear energy with his light sculpture. New perspectives on this topic can be experienced through virtual reality and augmented reality works in space.
